Pomoco
A culturally rich website for Pomoco, a storytelling-driven design agency weaving vernacular and contemporary aesthetics into meaningful brand experiences.
The Challenge
Pomoco is itself a design studio, so their own website would be judged by the standard they hold every client to: does the work demonstrate the philosophy, or just describe it. Seven years of practice spans eight very different disciplines, branding, illustration, murals, packaging, music design, events, editorial and web, and all of it sits on the tension between vernacular tradition and contemporary form. A generic agency template would have flattened that range into a portfolio grid and undercut the pitch before a visitor read a word.

Our Approach
We built the site architecture around an editorial rhythm rather than a standard agency template, unhurried, considered, and layered with texture. Typographic contrasts and asymmetric layouts carry the tension between vernacular and contemporary that defines Pomoco's practice, so the structure itself argues the same point their work does.

The Solution
A Sanity-backed content model lets Pomoco publish new work across all eight disciplines themselves, with a filterable work grid (by category and year) so the breadth of the practice stays browsable instead of one long scroll. A dedicated Playlists section, outside the usual work/about/contact template, reflects the studio's own cultural-curation identity rather than forcing it into a blog post. Case studies use the same asymmetric, editorial layout as the rest of the site, so a project page never reads like a template with the client's name swapped in.

Impact
Delivered in seven weeks across twenty designed screens. Pomoco can now publish new case studies across any of their eight work categories without developer involvement, and the homepage leads with a single story, 'juice of the times', rather than a grid of thumbnails.
