Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how De Studio collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit this website or engage our services. It applies to visitors and clients worldwide, including people in the UK and the European Economic Area, whose data is protected by the UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation. By using this website you agree to the practices described here.

Who We Are

De Studio is a remote-first digital product studio based in India. For the purposes of data protection law we are the data controller for information collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy at destudio1811@gmail.com, and we aim to respond within 2 business days.

Information We Collect

When you submit our contact form we collect the name, email address, website address, selected services, and project details you provide, together with the date and time of submission and the IP address the request came from. The IP address is retained as a basic anti-abuse and anti-spam measure. We do not ask for and do not want special category data, payment card numbers, or credentials, so please do not include them in an enquiry.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, to keep a record of business correspondence, and to protect this site from spam and abuse. Where you enter a contractual relationship with us, we process your information to perform that contract. Where the law requires consent, for example for non-essential cookies, we rely on the consent you give and you can withdraw it at any time.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to reply to your enquiry, to prepare proposals, to deliver and support work you have commissioned, and to keep proper business records. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Data Retention

We keep enquiry records for as long as we are in active discussion with you, and for a period afterwards so we can pick up follow-up conversations and meet accounting, tax, and legal obligations. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes we delete it. You can ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will do so unless we are required to retain it by law.

Third-Party Services and International Transfers

This website is hosted on Vercel and its content and enquiry records are stored in Sanity. Enquiry notifications are delivered by email through Google. Fonts are served by Fontshare and Google Fonts, and some images are served by Unsplash. These providers process data on our behalf or receive your IP address as a necessary part of delivering the page to you. Because we and these providers operate internationally, your information may be processed outside your country, including outside the UK and the EEA. Where that happens we rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards.

Cookies and Tracking

We use only what is necessary to make the site work and to remember your light or dark theme preference, which is stored in your browser and never sent to us. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our Cookie Policy explains this in detail.

Data Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, and access to enquiry records is limited to people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach is likely to affect your rights.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at destudio1811@gmail.com. You will not be charged, and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or the EEA and you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for businesses and professional clients. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The effective date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
